This is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 VS DMC-G6 video test. The reason why I'm doing this test, because Lumix GH3 does a really good job in video. So how about the younger brother G6? The DMC-G6 is almost half the price comparing with the top end GH3. But does it mean video mode should be worse? Both camera shoots very beautiful video, but there are some Pros and Cons between those two cameras.GH3 Pros - Weather Sealed body- Longer battery life (Compare with G6)- Optional battery grip- High Bit Rate video recording (72mbps H.264 mov)- Headphone jack- Clean HDMI Output GH3 Cons- No Focus peaking- 2x cropped (Compare with G6)G6 Pros- 1.8x cropped (Compare with GH3)- Focus peaking- Half the price (Compare with GH3)- Better LCD resolution - Power Zoom DielG6 Cons- No Weather Sealed body- Shorter battery life (Compare with GH3)- No battery grip available - Low Bit Rate video recording (24mbps AVCHD)- No Clean HDMI Output In conclusion, I think both cameras performed pretty well. Perhaps the G6 has a better colour in my opinion. Also the lens flare looked better with G6. But the GH3 definitely wins in the dark with higher bit rate. But for half the price of the G6.
