This is how the majority of initial sales of the SL will be used, with this adapter and existing M-mount lenses. Is this a bad thing for Leica? With only 1SL lens available at this time, I don't think so. The majority of sales will come from existing Leica shooters, and the majority of them own M-glass. My guess is that most of them will own a digital M body, which lacks a decent electronic viewfinder for use with either telephoto or wide angle lenses. The new SL solves this problem with a class leading electronic viewfinder.
