In a previous video I asked if the gamble by Panasonic in reverting back to a 12.1 megapixel sensor and new processing engine would actually produce the expected high iso image gains as promised! I also said that 18.1 megapixel cameras in adequate light would produce more image detail in the final image. I wanted to explore this and set up a studio shot and compared the out of camera images. Both cameras set to provide no digital image enhancement and no post processing of any of the images - what you see here are the native camera files. I'll let you come to your own conclusion about the iso3200 result from the TZ70 (ZS50) but for me it is a huge disappointment as I was expecting this camera to be the travel zoom to beat all others. With no GPS and no touch screen it's not got enough going for it in my opinion to warrant the upgrade from the TZ60 (ZS40)
