Canon EOS 80D Video TestThis is the Canon EOS 80D video test. Since I have switched over to Sony. I haven’t used the Canon DSLR for quite a while now. But what makes me going back to Canon and test this camera? Yep. it is the Dual Pixel CMOS AF Systems in video mode. I would say this is the best auto focus system I have ever used. The reason is, the auto focus system not just fast and responsible. You can also do the tap focus and tracking focus. It means you only need to tap the subject or the person once in the frame. Then whenever the person is moving in and out. The camera will track it smoothy. It is really great for filmmaker. Not many DSLR or mirrorless system can do that. Also the Canon colour is really good. I’m kinda miss that sometimes. But other than that, the video quality did not improve much over the 5D Mark III. Although you now have the 1080p 60fps. But the final image is still very soft. I had to apply 15% sharpness in post to make it look better. I wouldn’t say its exactly the same as 5D Mark III. It might be little bit better. But not huge. I guess we have to wait for the new 5D Mark IV and see :)Over all I did enjoy the camera very much, the auto focus is wonderful. It feels really good in hands. Camera is very solid.
