Mermet Lake is deep in Southern Illinois, it wildlife refuge and host to countless creatures. It makes a great place to test out the Canon 1D Mark III I knew right from the beginning that my 200 mm lens was too short for the birds, but I was still able to crop and make some really nice photos.
