Some h@ckers like tester13 et. al. tried to, but alas, newer options came out. But, the higher bit rate hack was what made these little cameras amazing. The Panasonic GF1 became the GF13 like the GH1 and the GH13 conversion.All-in-all, the camera is super fun to work with and pocketable with a small lens like the power zoom or one of wide pancake Panasonic lenses like the 20mm or 14mm. Another great option is to adapt old lenses with the proper adapters. This is what this camera was used for here. From old Canon FD lenses to Minolta, Konica, Nikon and Olympus, there are so many lenses out there that are options for using and adapting to the m43 cameras likt eh Panasonic dmc lumix gf-2. There are a few drawbacks like the 2x crop factor and the inability to auto-focus and adjust aperture in camera. Also, if your camera, like the GF2 and many older Panasonic micro 4/3 cameras does not have in-camera image stabilization, then you'll have to have a steady hand for video or a tripod. Besides that, for the price of used camera lenses these days, it's great fun and some unique "looks" can be obtained with these old vintage lenses that are from the 35mm film camera days.Panasonic cameras like the popular GH2, GH3 and now the 4k GH4 are on the rise in popularity as the micro four thirds format is picking up speed and getting people to convert from the point-and-shoot digital camera crowd. Now, your still camera can be your Panasonic camcorder / video camera that can record in a variety of formats and frame rates from 720p to 1080p and even 4k ultra HD at 30p,24p, and 60 frames per second. Of course, these aren't the highest quality like the industry standard 4:4:4, but for most uses like making home videos, short films and to post to youtube or vimeo, these Panasonic digital cameras are the perfect balance between price and quality. There are many options out there for capturing still photos and recording video. Even most cell phones can do both functions these days. But, for the best quality, portability and price ratio, a mirrorless camera like the Panasonic Lumix series offers in the micro four thirds format is a great choice. If you're searching for excellent value in a still and digital video camera, definitely check out the Panasonic GF2 or similar dSLR camera for your photography and videography needs.Lens Demos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...Lens Test Footage: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...35mm SLR Cameras: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...SLR / DSLR Camera Bags: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...Micro 4/3 Lenses / Gear: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...Misc Camera Equipment: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...Thanks for watching and subscribe to be updated when new lenses are acquired.
