An example of the 'Extended tele converter' setting in the recording menu of the DMC-G6. I'm impressed! Apology for the camera shake, this is about settings, not handling and I didn't bring my tripod ;)I hadn't used this setting since I'm not a fan of using digital zoom on top of the lens-zoom. Digital zoom just decreases resolution and quality, I don't touch it.But I thought I'ld give it a go after seeing another YT video. The 'Ex. tele conv.' setting is supposedly not a digital zoom but a crop at sensor level, increasing zoom by I think about 3x.I think I just spared me the expense for either a hardware tele-converter or a bigger zoomlens for now. :D This gives me about 800mm zoom (so 1600 in 35mm format). For me as passionate hobbyist enough for now
