Canon SX50 HS is a mega zoom camera which support 50x optical zoom at upto 200x digital zoom, it has a CMOS sensor which can shoot images upto 12.1 MP and is kind of a bridge camera and would be ideal for someone looking for a Mega Zoom camera.
