I took this compact and reasonably priced (under $500) point and shoot along with me on a family trip to Costa Rica. I wanted to get some bird and wildlife shots, but did not want to slow my family down by dragging along a full DSLR kit and tripod. After a week of trying to spot a toucan - I woke one morning to see one (and then two) perched on a branch out side my room. I grabbed the camera and took a few stills and then (channeling my inner Philip Bloom) decided to demonstrate the powerful zoom on this little camera.This was all shot hand held with out a tripod and only the balcony railing for support. No grading was done to the footage.
