If you already have a lot of Canon lenses, the new Canon EOS M5 may be a good choice for you. With higher dynamic range at low ISO and with no banding at all the sensor from Canon impress. At least for someone who doesn´t use Sony sensors. Canon EOS M5 shares the same sensor as Canon EOS 80D. The dynamic range of 80D is around 13,17 Ev at ISO 100. The older camera 70D with older sensor generation has around 11,58 Ev at ISO 100. At high ISO I still prefer my 6D.Use a touch screen instead of a joystick and if you shoot portraits, just use the face detection feature and the camera will get the faces in focus. If you with your left eye use the viewfinder, consider to start using your right eye instead due to the touch screen and your nose that unintentionally will change the focus point. Of course you can turn off the touch feature, choose the left side of the touch screen or learn to keep your nose away from the screen, but in my case , changing to the right eye was so much easier. With a mirrorless camera you will never get the problem with uncalibrated lenses. For the first time in my life I can really trust my EF 50/1,4 to get the focus exactly where I want it to be, without any minor AF variations. Unlike Canon EOS M3, the new Canon EOS M5 works like a charm together with 50/1,4.The firmware of my Canon EOS M5 is 1.0.0. and all pictures have been edited in Darktable and GIMP.Music: "How it began" by Silent Partner
