This is my first impressions review of the soon-to-be-released Fujifilm GFX 50R. This rangefinder styled digital medium format camera has been well received by those who have been fans of Fuji's classic aesthetic designs. Minus the size, shooting with the GFX 50R reminds me of shooting with classic Fujifilm cameras like the X100F, X-Pro2 and the newish X-E3. I had a pre-production copy for over a week and my thoughts on it so far is pretty positive. Performance is on par with the GFX 50S, although I much prefer the ergonomics of the rangefinder styled GFX 50R. Look for an upcoming unboxing and full review of a production copy with sample images.
