In this video, I'll be reviewing the Canon PowerShot SX410 IS - an ultra zoom/bridge camera with a 40x optical zoom and 20MP resolution! After the unboxing and feature overview, you'll see sample photos and videos, which will put the camera to the test and help you decide whether to buy it.--Hey, I'm HandyAndy and thanks for watching my video! If you enjoyed it, please SUBSCRIBE to my channel for more tech reviews.--My notes:- It's very small, so easy to take with you. It's only 104.4 x 69.1 x 85.1 mm - roughly as long as a typical 5" smartphone, but a little bit wider. Only weighs 325g including the battery, so you'll hardly notice it in your bag.- Inside the box, you'll find a wrist strap, a wall charger for the bundled 800mAh lithium-ion battery, a lens cap, an instruction manual and the camera itself.- The camera fits really nicely in your hand, with its comfortable handgrip. On the top, you'll find the power button, a shutter button and the zoom ring. On the side, there's a single port that can be used for both A/V out and USB connection to a PC.- The back has the usual set of compact camera controls, including a video record button, image playback button, shooting mode selector, and buttons for exposure, flash, self-timer and macro. - On the front is a Canon 40x 12-element Zoom Lens with image stabilisation; it ranges from 4.3 to 172mm with f/3.5 to f/6.3 apertures.- The camera shoots photos at an astounding 20 megapixels with its 1/2.3 inch CCD sensor.- But don't expect any manual mode here - you've got a choice of either auto or "creative shooting modes" by pressing the button labelled "Auto" on the rear. From here, you can choose from Portrait, Low light, fish eye, miniature, or the all important Program mode, which gives you the choice to adjust exposure compensation and ISO.- Now the first thing you'll notice when you start shooting is that the non-articulating screen has a low resolution - 230 thousand pixels, a little bit less than VGA - which gives it a grainy appearance. Also has a glossy finish that makes it difficult to see in the sun, and viewing angles aren't that great.- Image quality is generally good, with Canon's DiG!C 4 image processor included. ISO 100 and 200 have fantastic punchy colours and detail, even at high zoom levels. At ISO 400, contrast starts to decrease and colours become less saturated. By ISO 1600, images are looking very bleached out, with heaps of grain, and the sharpness also takes a nosedive.- The PowerShot SX410 IS shoots up to 720p video at 25fps, or VGA (640 x 480) video at 30fps, compressed with the H.264 codec. But it's not particularly high quality.- Currently at JB Hi-Fi in Australia, it costs $249, which is a really good price for what you're getting.--Music credits: "The Place Inside" and "Believer", both by Silent Partner and both from the YouTube Audio Library.
