Finally, got my P600! With little news coverage and minimal YT videos, I wanted to see what this "Bridge camera" could do. This is not a review by any means, but a little sample of what the full zoom could do in the afternoon and in the moonlight. It just so happened that a three-quarter moon was up and I was able to not only capture it, but also see how fast it rotates to the earth. After a few experiments, it is apparent that when you zoom out, you'll either need a tripod or brace yourself against a solid object to get the best shots, as the magnification will jump all over the place. I used the the "Active" Vibration Reduction Vs. "Normal" and it helped some/a lot.I found that even though the pictures are nice overall, that between the movie recording and picture taking you have to play with it a little (redo shots) because the sensor sometimes has trouble locking in and blurring a bit when zoomed out. This camera does best on well-lit subjects vs. dark subjects/areas. Not a big deal if you're just a casual shooter and have time to adjust the camera. As I have a Nikon F3 and Nikon D300, I wasn't expecting the best picture quality... I just wanted a light camera that I can grab and go on trips, and to hand to family to take some pix and vids. What makes this camera a nice all-around device is that it has a very long zoom equivalent to a 1440mm (60x) lens, and a HD video camera all wrapped in one. I haven't tried the Wi-Fi yet...There's plenty to like and to nitpick on, but regarding the latter, complaining too much would defeat the purpose of wanting a "bridge camera" if everything was perfect considering the cheaper price vs. the cost of a pro camera. ....
