The most limiting thing about the camera is its video AF capabilities. These are limited in the video above you can see a clip of a trees and a partly cloudy sky. During the clip the AF continuously hunts for proper focus at infinitely. For this reason I almost always use the camera on MF. The exception is for some of the review videos I do like the one for the Fuji 690, https://youtu.be/JCjLTDRjCLUbut once I get a camcorder the P7800 will be retired for this purpose. I do however love the video functions of the Nikon P7800 for when I don’t want to carry my bulky and heavy dslr and tripod into the field. I can add the same external microphone (Nikon ME-1) that I use for the D750 and get great video and good sound. A microphone jack is an unusual feature for a point and shoot camera. For timelapse videos the camera has a built in interval timer for making videos in post process. However, I find the minimum time of 30 seconds to be very limiting and use a external intervalometer, the Vello Shutterboss Version II. This is a wired timer, and seems to be working very well.
