Literally a repair, without purchasing any spare parts. If you accidentally broke your Cyber-shot lens then here's how to fix it.All you need is patience, a small screwdriver and Superglue. It's a big help if you take photos as you proceed; even better to video it, especially when you dismantle the lens system. Cursory examination of the parts may not reveal which parts go where, as I found out, you may need some vital clues. In retrospect, you may not need to open up the centre piece with the 2 tiny springs. I find the movies very good, in comparison with the equivalent function in cameras of some years ago; there tends to be a strange kind of "watery" effect on camera movement, where parts of the video you've shot seem to waver independently. The nearest cause I could find may be what they call "the rolling shutter effect", associated with CMOS sensor chips. However, I'm not ruling out the possibility that my repair upset things a bit.
